The material is easy to use – cutting requires a template for the car body and a special plotter, and the rest can be done independently. Manufacturing companies present a wide range of films – satin vinyl is among its varieties.

Characteristics and use of Satin vinyl film

Satin vinyl film has good performance and decorative characteristics. It is characterized by elasticity, high strength and the ability to take any shape, thanks to which it glues surfaces smoothly, without defects. The texture of the material is glossy, and after using it, the surface of the car becomes chrome-plated. The color palette is wide, but the most common are red, black and gray shades. Sometimes you can find a film with special visual effects - iridescence or the ability to change color in different lighting conditions.

For pasting a car with satin vinyl, you need a dry, well-ventilated room, tools and some experience. Elements are cut out of the material in accordance with patterns for the bumper of a car and other parts, and the surface of the vehicle is thoroughly cleaned and degreased. Next, the protective substrate is removed from the material and applied to the coating moistened with soap solution. The film is carefully smoothed, the excess is cut off and left for a day.

Special care for satin vinyl is not required. Before washing the machine, it is necessary to warn the staff about the presence of a coating – too much water pressure or the use of aggressive means can damage the film. For the same reason, it is not necessary to expose it to high temperatures. The material is resistant to contamination, but oil and gasoline traces must be removed in a timely manner to avoid discoloration of the coating and the appearance of stains.
