Protective coatings allow you to keep colored paintwork from burning out in the sun. You can install a protective film by patterns for car interior and bodywork, that will ensure its maximum tight fit to the surface of the machine.

Methods of restoration of the protective film on the body

There are situations when the protective film layer on the body is damaged and the motorist tries to fix the defect on his own. It is not recommended to do this, since self-repair can lead to an even greater spread of the defect. It is better to entrust the restoration to professionals who know how to work with various damages.

This:
  • Scratches. Shallow scratches can be eliminated by heating with special equipment (up to 350-400 ° C). The surface should be heated at a distance of at least 20 cm from the defect, without lingering for a long time in one area. Heating works well on glossy coatings, while on matte ones it can give an undesirable shine. Deeper scratches are more difficult to eliminate, for this it is necessary to re-tighten the corresponding body element. In some cases, you can imperceptibly insert the necessary section of the new film and combine it at the joints.
  • Bloating. The appearance of unwanted bubbles that violate the appearance of the car body may be due to poorly installed film or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. You can eliminate the defect by carefully peeling off the area, degreasing and fixing it back. If a bubble has formed in the center of the part, you can pierce it and mask this place.
  • Peeling off the edge of the film. This can happen under the high pressure of a water jet during washing. This defect is easy to eliminate - it is necessary to separate the detached area, clean, degrease and install it back.

If the defect is not eliminated by the above methods, then you will need pasting with a new film cut by patterns for the car body.
